VIDEOGRAPHER TO GIVE PRESENTATION ON COAL MINING, FRACKING

Local videographer Scott Cannon will give a multimedia presentation on “Similarities Between Coal Mining and Fracking” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion, 203 Vine St., Pittston.
The presentation will include an overview of health and environmental issues related to both fossil fuels, suggestions on how to move forward with common sense practices, and a discussion of current issues in Luzerne County and the dangers to the Susquehanna River from two proposed pipeline routes 1.7 miles from the site of the Knox Mine Disaster.
