EDITOR’S NOTE: Given that Sunday is the feast of Easter, we are doing the Sunday Snow Flake feature today. As a Roman Catholic (not a Christian) I do not want to impugn diminish the day with terrible news of people who should know better.

SUNDAY SNOW

FLAKE OF THE

WEEK

MAGA Congressman Dan Meuser was interviewed by WILK’s late morning Mussolini Bob Cordaro.  It was a safe harbor for the Congressman to defend his indefensible record to an audience of MAGAs.

When the assassination attempt on Governor Josh Shapiro came up, Meuser seemed t blame the left for their rhetoric. He called out the left for their disagreement with Trump and his policies apparently forgetting about his President’s hundreds of insults to anyone “who isn’t nice to me”. Really? These MAGAs (there is no longer a Republican party anymore as much as they want to try to tell you) get their itty bitty feeling hurt when they are called out on things that they are normalizing. “We are living in a divided country” they whimper like little babies. Bu the fact is this country has been divided since President Obama, the first African American eve to achieve that office won. Ever since then, the right wing GOP has been whining and placing blame. It drove them crazy that Obama won a second term too, but the climb has been insidious.

But Meuser said this “Our hearts go out to the Shapiro family on this, but they gotta tone it down too”. This is akin to a rape victim being told she was asking for it. Shapiro has been most reasonable in his concerns over the Republican administration. Shapiro, unlike Meuser is a lawyer and attorneys are under oath to respect the law. Toe it down? This is the anti-infrastructure MAGA Congressman who decried the vandalism of Teslas.

This whole MAGA movement  have the temerity to tell “the left” (whatever the **ck he means by that) to tone it down. Perhaps he meant get on their knees and bow before their fearful leader like they do.

Not happening Danny, not happening.

Also be prepared this weekend for the pity party the MAGAs will throw for the comment Meuser made. The MAGA lie machine will tutt tutt about how badly Meuser was treated.

This is what SNOWFLAKES do!

AMERICA’S CRUEL SCROOGE

TAKES FOOD FROM SCHOOL KIDS

Everybody remembers Donald Trump’s role in “Home Alone”. If we ever get him to just go away, maybe he can get a role in a 21st century remake of “Scrooge”. Trump had a dust up with Maine’s Democratic Governor over his Executive order to ban trans people from sports activities. The Governor didn’t comply and sued Trump.

How did he respond? By eliminating the school lunch program for children in the state. He could have done anything else, but he HAD TO DO THAT! It was a strategy so he could blame the state Governor for not having the funds.

The big bully continually morphs into a small, tiny boy.

FDR

GONE @ 80

It’s been 80 years this month since Franklin Roosevelt died at Warm Springs Georgia. The anniversary of his death is more significant this year since the cornerstone of his legacy is slowly being undone by Donald Trump and his MAGAs. Social Security, programs for farmers, and conservation are under fire.

In foreign affairs the coalition that FDR built that has outlived him for 8 decades now is in peril. Our allies have been relegated to the back of the line while our enemies like Russia are given a pass.

At a ceremony in Warm Springs, Senator Russell Warnock said, "Roosevelt said, 'We have nothing to fear but fear itself. President Trump is bent on weaponizing fear. He and those who are working alongside him, Elon Musk and others, are counting on a context in which federal workers wake up every day and wonder whether they have a job. They seem to enjoy that. They want us to be afraid of one another. "He sought simply to make America great. Period”.

Roosevelt established a foundation here in 1927 to treat people with polio. After he was elected president in 1932, he regularly returned to his retreat in Warm Springs named the Little White House.

That's where he died, after collapsing from a stroke as he was sitting for a portrait. That "unfinished portrait" is on display at a museum on the property.

Now more than ever, all Americans who are lived off the legacy of FDR should be aware that things FDR created and are now taken for granted by some ungrateful Americans are now in danger. Mortal danger.
