LUZERNE BOROUGH
What used to be a sleepy little election every four years has turned into a very exciting race between incumbent Luzerne Borough Mayor Jim Keller and Democrat John Cordora. It started during the primary when Cordora and Walter Banicky won the Democratic primaries.
Then there was the subject of blighted building in the Borough which got news coverage. Here’s that link.

Keller is running for a fourth term, no news there. But this is the first time he is running with opposition. Running for Council are Jason Terreto, Mike Jankuska and incumbent Mary Ellen Schell. Banicky out polled all of them in the primary and many people seem to think that is a sign of changes in Luzerne.
