(logo: NEPA blogs)
Last night's Blogfest in a steady rain was a big success. Blogfest was reinvigorated because organizers have found that in a local election year, it has become a stop for candidates running for office. A myriad of candidates came from near and far. The person who gets the prize for longest trek would be Green Party candidate Jules Mermelstein who is running for a seat on The Pennsylvania Superior Court.
My apologies to those who arrived earlier than I did. I had an afternoon commitment with the Knights, then a family event that started at 5:30PM in Old Forge. But I did get there around 7:45 and had the chance to speak with the remaining people there.
John Walton Jr., Wendy Cominsky, Tony Brooks and Iris Rakowski.
Michelle Strumski Bednar, (right) running for re-election for Luzerne County Controller with Mark Barrett, and Angie Fanelli.
We were discussing a remake of the film "The Three Amigos" but some say Duke and I are even too liberal for Hollywood. Here I am flanked by Mark Barrett and Ben hoon.
