TRUMP BAILS
Tiffany's dad bails on his press conference. (Photo: CNN)
December 15th was supposed to be the day that Tiffany’s dad was going to address the press regarding the entanglement of his business interests. Now to be fair, Trump met with website industry types (but did not invite Twitter) and he did invite the press in. But all they did was take pictures and no questions were acknowledged. Instead Trump went on a gloating tour of Wisconsin and later Pennsylvania this week. He is in his comfort zoned, before adoring crowds who pump up his need for constant self esteem. Trump pretty much wussed out of meeting the press because he is one or more of the following:
1. A coward.
2. Knows he will be asked specific questions about things other than his finances
3. Knows he will most likely blow during the questioning.
4. Even he and his handlers have no idea how to explain or untangle that web of fiscal intrigue.
Trump berated Hillary Clinton in the General Election for not meeting with the press. He has avoided them now because he is nothing but a big wuss who can’t answer the questions.
He did send a fury of tweets this morning but that was again, his comfort zone. I have the feeling that that's all he'll care about, his comfort zone. And the beat goes on.
A REBATE ON BENGHAZI
The GOP Congress ended the Benghazi investigation. I want a refund. This Congressional witch hunt spent millions on questions asked and answered. It was nothing but an attack on Secretary of State Clinton and was designed to make her look like a criminal. Notwithstanding is the fact that under the Bush administration 55 diplomats were killed at American embassies. No investigation there. Ronald Reagan lost 200 soldiers in Libya. No investigation there!
In a 7-4 vote along party lines, the special panel voted to approve Republicans’ 800-page report into the attacks on a U.S. diplomatic compound and nearby CIA annex, which faulted multiple parts of the Obama administration but did not provide any "smoking gun" evidence or single out one person for blame.
You’d never know it if you listened to these self righteous sons of bitches during their antics during this so called investigation. They also had the nerve to say this, “It has been a privilege to investigate the service and the sacrifice of the four Americans who died and also those who in many regards [are] still now nameless and faceless to the American pubic, who displayed incredible heroism and valor during that time period.”
You have to understand that there were other Congressional committees that investigated this and came to the same conclusion. But this committee pretty much politicized the deaths of the four Americans and had a sole intent on destroying Hillary Clinton.
7 million spent on just whagt?

HOUSE PASSES CARTWRIGHT SCHOOL ENERGY EFFICIENCY LEGISLATION
Congressman Matt Cartwright (Photo: LuLac archives)
Congressman Matt Cartwright’s Streamlining Energy Efficiency for Schools Act of 2015 (H.R. 756) unanimously passed the U.S. House of Representatives. First introduced in February 2014, the bill also unanimously passed the House during the 113th Congress. The bipartisan legislation, re-introduced by Cartwright in January 2015, would encourage school administrators to make cost-saving energy efficiency upgrades by establishing a clearinghouse for energy efficiency resources through the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The clearinghouse will publish information on federal programs and financing tools that may be used to perform energy generation, energy efficiency, and energy retrofitting projects on schools.
“I am pleased that the House is prioritizing energy efficiency by once again passing this bill, and I’m working with my colleagues in the Senate and encouraging them to act quickly on passage,” said U.S. Rep. Cartwright. “This bill will ensure that schools can more easily take advantage of energy-efficiency programs, encouraging strategic and cost-saving investments to relieve the fiscal pressure felt by schools across the country--all while bringing us closer to energy security.”
According to the Department of Energy (DOE), the nation’s 17,450 K-12 school districts spend more than $6 billion annually on energy, more than is spent on computers and textbooks combined. Currently, there are numerous federal initiatives available to schools to help them become more energy efficient. However, these programs are spread across the federal government, making it challenging for schools to know where to look and how to take full advantage.
An estimated 14 million American children attend deteriorating public schools. Many of these schools’ problems involve the heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems. According to a Department of Education survey, 43 percent of schools indicated that the poor condition of their facilities interferes with the delivery of instruction. By upgrading these systems, energy efficiency is increased, learning environments are improved, and scarce funds are conserved.
BARLETTA BACKS WATER BILL, CONTAINS COAL ASH PROTECTIONS
COAL ASH PROVISIONS PROTECT ENVIRONMENT, PRESERVE JOBS
Congressman Lou Barletta (Photo: LuLac archives)
Congressman Lou Barletta voted for legislation which addresses the infrastructure needs of the U.S. waterway system and also allows states to develop their own enforcement programs for the recycling and disposal of coal ash.The Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act, S. 612, passed the House by a vote of 360-to-61 and now returns to the Senate for its consideration. Barletta supported the overall package and highlighted his long-standing support of addressing the disposal of coal ash. Coal ash is a byproduct of coal combustion and has consistently been classified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as non-hazardous material.“Our region of Pennsylvania was built on the coal industry, and the resulting coal ash has always presented an environmental challenge and an opportunity for job creation,” Barletta said. “By providing certainty in the regulation of coal ash, we are being both stewards of the environment and protectors of economic development. Pennsylvanians have been dealing with this issue for decades, and we know better how to manage it than federal government bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.”
In 2015, Barletta cosponsored H.R. 1734, the Improving Coal Combustion Residuals Regulation Act of 2015, which clarified uncertainties in EPA rules and made certain that coal ash can continue to be used in products like concrete and drywall. Manufacturers also use coal ash for products such as roofing materials, bricks, filler material, and fertilizer. There are an estimated 316,000 jobs nationally that are reliant on the use of coal ash. Clarifying the regulation of coal ash preserves those industries and includes the EPA in the process.
“As a father and grandfather, I want to protect our natural surroundings as much as anyone,” Barletta said. “As the representative of Pennsylvania’s 11th District, I want to see jobs protected as well.”
The WIIN Act is comprehensive legislation to address the needs of America’s harbors, locks, dams, flood protection, and other water resources infrastructure critical to the Nation’s economic growth, health, and competitiveness. The WIIN Act is a measure that includes the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2016, which overwhelmingly passed the House in September, in addition to provisions to improve drinking water infrastructure around the country, address control of coal combustion residuals, improve water storage and delivery to help drought-stricken communities, address federal dam maintenance backlogs, and approve longstanding water settlement agreements for the benefit of taxpayers and Native Americans. The WIIN Act is the result of bicameral negotiations, improves critical infrastructure across America, and strengthens the economy.
